Dr. Roy G. Taylor, Ph.D., is a sitting Chief of Police and a certified TASER instructor who provides expert witness testimony and consulting on electronic control devices, conducted energy weapons, and less-than-lethal weapons. He serves attorneys, municipalities, the insurance industry, and facilities involved in litigation, and he is retained by both plaintiff and defense counsel.

Electronic Control Device Credentials

Dr. Taylor served as Use of Force Director at Compliant Technologies from 2020 to 2021 and is a Compliant Technologies Master Instructor and G.L.O.V.E. CEW Instructor. He first completed TASER Instructor Training with Taser International in 2005 and has maintained his instructor status through recertifications in 2011, 2021, and 2023 with Axon Academy. He also completed the Compliant Technologies Conducted Energy Weapons Instructor course in 2020.
