Dr. Roy G. Taylor, Ph.D., is a sitting Chief of Police and security expert who provides expert witness testimony and consulting on security and safety lighting and illumination. Credentials

Dr. Taylor has more than 40 years of law enforcement experience in federal, state, local, and private Police Chief positions, and his areas of expertise include physical security, force protection, and operation security. He is a Department of Defense certified Physical Security Inspector and completed Security Engineering Training with the US Army Corps of Engineers at Ft. Belvoir (2007). As President/CEO of Signal 88 Security of Charlotte and of Capitol Special Patrol, he led private security operations across the very categories of property listed above, and he is a member of the American Society for Industrial Security. He holds a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from Walden University.
